Did you know that the Federal and Provincial Governments have programs that will help offset the cost of your research or product development efforts?

For Qualified Projects, government funding can cover up to 60% of your costs.

There are three programs that you can access to assist with your research or development costs:

Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP)
IRAP is a funding program administered by The National Research Council (NRC) of Canada. The. program is intended to help cover the cost of employee wages and sub-contracted resources for qualified projects.

Scientific Research& Experimental Development (SR&ED)
SR&ED is a refundable tax credit. The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will refund you up to 40% of the cost of qualified research and development projects.

Commercialization Assistance Program (CAP)
CAP is a federal program, administered by BC Institute of Technology (BCIT) in British Columbia, and is designed to assist businesses with bring a product to market. Specifically, it will pay for contracted services, and will cover off up to 40% of the contract value for qualified projects.
